An RSS document includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as dates and time of update, and who did it (Wikipedia j, 2010). The benefit of using this technology is that users might subscribe to updates from a given source and receive notifications when there has been a change or update. Thus the user does not have to look around in order stay updated. This requires that an RSS reader view is implemented to the system. The RSS reader checks the user’s subscribed feeds regularly, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. The RSS format is specified using XML.
