Common use of Right To Share Clause in Contracts

Right To Share. Two bargaining unit members who wish to share a job may do so providing that they are both properly certified (licensed) for the position, they are both currently assigned to the building where the job share occurs or management is willing to effect a transfer and the transfer does not impede another bargaining unit member’s rights, and the job share does not result in significant and demonstrable operational problems (such as the inability to fill another bargaining unit position). At the conclusion of each academic year, each job sharing teacher may apply for any available full-time position. If there is a vacant job sharing position, the position shall be posted pursuant to Article 4.4. of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. If there are no internal applicants, the Board may post the position externally.
