RFP Objective. The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit written proposals from inspection firms to provide inspection services within the Town of Taber. The RFP will also establish the requirement for the proponent to make a brief (30 minute) presentation to Town of Taber Administration regarding the firm’s capabilities and experience. The Town of Taber needs to engage a qualified Safety Code Services Provider for inspection services in the Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Gas Disciplines in order to maintain its status as an Accredited Organization with the province of Alberta. The firm will be engaged under the terms of an exclusive three (3) year agreement, with the option for extension for an additional two (2) years. The value of building permits issued in 2014 was approx. $18.1 million. This value has ranged from $12.6 million to $15.4 million over the 3 previous years. The number of building permits issued has ranged from approx. 100-115 in the same time period.
