Rest Rule. An Employee extended for mandatory overtime resulting in four (4) hours or more of overtime worked and that causes the Employee to work 15 hours or more in a work day, will be given rest equal to that mandatory assignment. The rest will be equal to the mandatory overtime assignment, but will not exceed 10 hours rest in any event. The rest only applies to the next day’s shift assignment which had been established prior to the mandatory overtime assignment.
Rest Rule. An Employee extended for mandatory overtime resulting in four (4) hours or more of any overtime worked and that causes the Employee to work a fifteen (15) hours day or more(inclusive of unpaid gaps between shift and assignment)in a work day, will have their next day’s shift assignment adjusted as follows: • The next day’s adjustment will be equal to the mandatory assignment, but not to exceed ten (10) hours total rest in any event; • The rest is limited to the next shift or voluntary overtime assignment established prior to notice of the mandatory overtime assignment • The Employee will be paid at his regular straight time rate for the time lost because of the rest; and • Employees cannot be required to work mandatory overtime during the rest period. will be given rest equal to that mandatory assignment. Rest Rule. Section A. No engineer shall be required to be on duty when he/she needs rest, nor shall any engineer be permitted to run on the road when his/her physical ability has been fairly taxed by previous service before he/she has had needed rest.
Section B. When an engineer feels he/she needs rest, he/she must indicate at the time tying up the number of hours required from time of tying up until time called. The number of hours of rest indicated, if any, at the time of tying up will not be changed. The number of hours of rest at the away-from-home-terminal may be either eight (8), ten (10) or twelve (12) hours undisturbed. The number of hours at the home terminal may be eight (8), ten (10), twelve (12) or eighteen (18) hours undisturbed.
Section C. This article is not intended to change past practices relating to application of the rest rule as to, but not limited to, runarounds and entitlement to compensation.
Rest Rule. The City agrees that during normal operations UMs shall be entitled to at least ten (10) hours of off time from the time the UMs shift ends until the next time their shift may begin. ▇▇▇▇ recognizes that during emergency the City will attempt to give UMs at least ten (10) hours of rest immediately following any work assignment that is assigned.
