Reporting and Planning Clause Samples
The Reporting and Planning clause establishes the obligations of parties to provide regular updates and develop forward-looking strategies related to the agreement's subject matter. Typically, this clause requires one or both parties to submit periodic reports detailing progress, challenges, or results, and to participate in planning sessions or submit plans for future activities. Its core function is to ensure transparency, facilitate coordination, and enable proactive management of the project or relationship, thereby reducing misunderstandings and supporting the achievement of agreed objectives.

Reporting and Planning. Reports should be written in a way that they can be readily understood by parents and other professionals and should lend themselves to incorporation within an EHC plan. Health provision should be detailed and specific and should normally be quantified in terms of the type of support and who will provide it. Professionals or Clinicians advice must be restricted to their area of expertise e.g. health services and must not make recommendations about specific educational placements. An EHC assessment will usually include a person centred planning meeting. It is accepted that health professionals are not resourced to be able to attend all such meetings, however, in cases where a health professional has a significant contribution to make to the EHC plan it is expected that they will attend.
