REMOTE TEACHING Clause Samples
The REMOTE TEACHING clause establishes the terms under which teaching activities may be conducted outside of traditional, in-person classroom settings, typically through online or virtual platforms. It outlines the conditions, requirements, and expectations for instructors and students when classes are delivered remotely, such as technology standards, communication protocols, and assessment methods. This clause ensures that both parties understand their responsibilities and helps maintain the quality and continuity of education when in-person instruction is not possible, addressing challenges like accessibility and consistency in remote learning environments.
REMOTE TEACHING. A School Division may direct a Teacher to teach via remote learning. In these situations, the following shall apply:
1. The School Division shall provide the necessary technological resources to Teachers developing and delivering their classes through remote teaching.
2. The School Division shall provide the necessary and appropriate training in the use of relevant educational technology for Teachers to provide learning in a remote environment.
