Relief Lines. As soon as practical after the awarding of the work schedule bid, but not later than five (5) calendar days prior to the effective date of the new work schedule bid, the employees awarded/assigned a relief line will meet with the Company and the Company will make a reasonable effort to accommodate their schedule preferences based on their seniority.
Relief Lines. Relief lines shall be initially constructed with no scheduled activity or designated days off and placed into the bid package for bid. There will be no Reserve days in Relief lines. a. A Flight Attendant shall bid for a Relief line on his or her monthly bid or bid Reserve and indicate a preference for a Relief line. After SAP, if sufficient lines are available, those Flight Attendants preferencing a Relief line shall be awarded a Relief line in seniority order. b. Trips will be placed into Relief lines constructed from remaining Open Time at that base after the closing of the SAP as referenced in paragraph K of this section. c. Relief lines shall contain a minimum of thirteen (13) days off. d. A Flight Attendant bidding a Relief line may request specific blocks of days off to be awarded in seniority order. The Company shall honor, to the extent possible, the Flight Attendant’s request for days off.

Relief Lines. (a) The Company, in consultation with the Joint Shift Committee, will determine the number of relief shifts available prior to the shift bid. It is understood that the relief lines may be used to cover all absences, for any reason, from the workplace and airline changes. (b) The Joint Shift Committee will, prior to any shift bid, make available agreed to rules for relief lines for the duration of that existing bid. (c) Employees temporarily assigned to a higher rated classification shall be paid the applicable rate for all time worked in such classification. Employees temporarily assigned to a lower rated classification shall not have their rates of pay reduced.
