Common use of Regrading Clause in Contracts

Regrading. When all positions in a classification are assigned to a new pay grade this shall be considered a regrade. When the positions in a classification are regraded to a higher pay grade, the salary of each Employee in a position in that classification shall be at least at the same step of the new salary grid as they were in the old grid, except that at no time will the new salary exceed the maximum of the new grid.
