Regrading. (a) When a pay grade is regraded by the assignment of a higher pay grade, the salary of each employee in a position in that pay grade shall be at the same step of the new salary range as it was in the old salary range, except at no time will the new salary exceed the maximum of the new range.
(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of (a) where an employee is hired at any step in the range other than the minimum due to labour market pressures and the pay range is subsequently revised upward, the employee will not receive an increase in proportion with the increase applicable to the pay grade provided the employee has been so advised in writing at the time of the appointment.
Regrading. When all positions in a classification are assigned to a new pay grade this shall be considered a regrade. When the positions in a classification are regraded to a higher pay grade, the salary of each Employee in a position in that classification shall be at least at the same step of the new salary grid as they were in the old grid, except that at no time will the new salary exceed the maximum of the new grid.
Regrading. (a) Where the nature of the work undertaken by an employee changes, such that the majority of the work regularly performed is work of a type normally associated with a higher classification and has been performed for a period of at least 12 months, the employee may apply to have their position reclassified to the higher classification.
(b) An application for re-grading by an employee must be made in writing.
(c) The Employer will respond to the request in writing within a reasonable timeframe, and where possible no less than one month after receiving the written request, indicating whether the application is approved or denied.
(d) Simply performing more work at the same classification or different work at the same classification does not qualify for re-grading.
(e) Factors with a bearing on the decision may include whether the changes:
(i) involve the exercise of skills, responsibility and/or autonomy normally undertaken at a higher classification; and/or
(ii) are permanent or temporary.
Regrading. The Contractor shall regrade the existing berm to eliminate uneven areas and low spots and create an even slope. Finished grade must accommodate City operations such as mowing.
Regrading. Regrading is the changing of a paygrade of a classification so that salary concurs with the duties of the classification. The new paygrade may be higher or lower than the previous paygrade. When a regrading of a classification occurs, all positions of that classification are changed to the new paygrade.

Regrading. 7.3.1. The parties agree that any staff covered by this Settlement Agreement who consider that the grade they are translated to, based on the applicable translation process outlined in clause 5.2 and Appendix 1, is not consistent with their work when considered against the Administration Support Staff Work Matrix Table, may request that their employer review their grade from the start of Term 3 2022.
7.3.2. If the employee requests their role to be regraded prior to 28 February 2023, and where the employer and employee agree that the employee’s grade (based on their work at the date of this Settlement Agreement) is incorrect, the correction will be applied from the date the new pay equity rates came into effect (20 August 2021) or the date that the employee commenced in that role, whichever is the later. Otherwise, any regrading will be effective from the date of the employer’s decision. Any change of pay arising from regrading under this provision will be paid after the payment of the new pay equity rates outlined in clause 7.2.1.
