Referrals by the Medical Review Officer Not a Bar to Disciplinary Action. The Medical Review Officer may counsel the subject regarding follow-up care by competent medical authority and, if requested, furnish referrals. Such actions by the Medical Review Officer shall not prohibit, or be considered as a replacement for, any disciplinary action by the District. Members having a positive drug test result shall remain subject to discipline up to and including discharge, irrespective of any counseling or treatment. APPENDIX A CONTRACT TOXICOLOGY LAB SERVICES
