Referral to Other Providers. Except for Emergency Services, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER shall not refer Members to other Physicians or providers without the prior authorization of Member’s Primary Care Physician or PREMIER. If prior authorization for same is received, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER shall refer only to other Physicians and providers who are participating with PREMIER. If the BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER does refer in a manner contrary to this provision or other provisions of the Utilization Management Program, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER will bear full financial responsibility for any service rendered to Member by the referred-to Physician or provider. PREMIER may, at its option then reduce future payments to BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER.
