Quality Target Clause Samples
A Quality Target clause sets specific standards or benchmarks that goods, services, or deliverables must meet under a contract. It typically outlines measurable criteria such as performance levels, defect rates, or compliance with industry standards, and may include methods for assessing whether these targets are achieved. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the contracting party delivers outputs that meet agreed-upon quality expectations, thereby reducing disputes and clarifying performance requirements.

Quality Target. RZB demands a 'zero-error target' from its suppliers. In order to be able to pursue this zero-error target, consistent advance quality assurance planning, its implementation in production, effective series monitoring, re-qualification and continuous improvement (CIP) are indispensable. Focus here is placed on avoidance of errors rather than their recognition. The supplier will manufacture and inspect the contractual items according to the latest technical specifications.

Quality Target. The ever increasing quality demands on our products require an ever improving quality standard for our suppliers’ products. Together with our suppliers, we aim to maintain and constantly develop the quality standard achieved by emco across all divisions and recognised by our customers. emco essentially strives for a zero-defect strategy. Individual defect volumes can be defined for critical products, but these must be recorded in writing. Customer satisfaction is the primary goal of all quality assurance measures. All deliveries and services to emco and its customers must therefore meet the statutory and agreed requirements. If necessary, quality targets can be redefined and adjusted at regular intervals between emco and the Supplier.
Quality Target. The Contractor is committed to the zero defect target. The Contractor shall ensure that all its products meet the specified requirements fully. The Contractor shall inform WAM immediately if deviations from agreed targets are foreseeable and shall propose appropriate measures to eliminate the discrepancies to WAM. The agreement of a target does not affect the liability of the supplier for warranty and compensation claims by WAM due to defects of deliveries. The specifications for the product must be observed in each case. Rather, the Contractor is also liable for any defects if the defect rate is within the framework of an agreed target. Even if the agreed upper limits are not reached, the Contractor is not relieved of his obligation to process all rejects and to proceed with continuous improvement. If the Contractor is not able to comply the quality targets, WAM reserves the right to carry out audits at the expense of the Contractor to arrive at action plans to achieve the quality targets. Implementation of these measures has a significant influence on future requests from the Contractor.
