Quality Performance Scoring. 1. CMS shall use the ACO’s performance on each of the quality measures to calculate the ACO’s total quality score according to a methodology to be determined by CMS prior to the start of each Performance Year. 2. Prior to the start of each Performance Year, CMS shall notify the ACO of the methodology for calculating the quality performance benchmarks and the methodology for calculating the ACO’s total quality score for that Performance Year. Notwithstanding Section XXI.D, CMS may amend these methodologies without the consent of the ACO prior to the beginning of each Performance Year.
