Common use of Protecting Clause in Contracts

Protecting. Contact tracing is not an end in itself. It enables individuals to take the right steps to protect their families, friends and their community by self-isolating. Self- isolating means as far as possible maintaining distance from other family members, not leaving the house for exercise or work and not visiting the shops for food or other essential items. Contact tracing means people may be asked to self-isolate multiple times. The more often people come into contact with others, the more likely it is that they will be required to self-isolate. While they are self-isolating, some people may need help to get food or medicine. Some people may need ongoing care or help in response to their mental health or physical support needs. Information will also be shared in order to ensure any support payments can be processed accurately. Enforcing the requirement to self-isolate will be a feature of the protect strand. This will involve sharing information with the relevant authorities on a case by case basis. The long term response to the Covid-19 pandemic requires a safe and effective vaccine to be available for all. Health Boards and Trusts will be delivering local plans in partnership with key stakeholders. This will involve the sharing of personal data about employees and the public to allow those local plans to be delivered effectively and safely. A national system hosted in the NHS Wales IT infrastructure is being used to allow vaccinations to be delivered in a co-ordinated and safe way. This will include integration with existing health systems, where appropriate, to ensure the right people are invited for a vaccination at the right time. This will also help ensure those people administering the vaccination have relevant information about the person they are treating.
