Project Design and Performance Verification Studies Sample Clauses
The 'Project Design and Performance Verification Studies' clause establishes the requirements for conducting studies to confirm that a project's design meets specified performance criteria. Typically, this involves the contractor or project team preparing and submitting detailed design documents and then performing tests or analyses to verify that the completed work achieves the agreed-upon standards. For example, this may include energy efficiency modeling for a building or system performance tests for infrastructure projects. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the project delivers the intended results and that any deficiencies are identified and addressed before final acceptance, thereby reducing the risk of future disputes over performance.
Project Design and Performance Verification Studies. In accordance with Article 24.4, Developer shall perform project design and performance verification studies and shall provide design and performance verification study reports to the Connecting Transmission Owner and to the NYISO. Connecting Transmission Owner shall be free to witness any simulator demonstrations that are relevant to system performance. The minimum design and performance verification studies are summarized as follows:
a) Project main circuit design study;
b) Dynamic performance study including AC system tolerance and disturbance recovery performance verification, as further detailed in Appendix G, section 5.6.8;
c) Steady-state reactive power flow exchange verification;
d) AC system harmonic performance verification study;
e) Power line carrier (“PLC”) performance verification study;
f) Temporary overvoltage and insulation coordination studies;
g) 345kV circuit breaker coordination study;
h) AC and DC protection system study;
i) Sub-synchronous torsional interaction screening and control;
j) Implementation studies;
k) Additional electromagnetic transients program studies, as necessary to validate system performance based on final design. Infrastructure security of New York State Transmission System equipment and operations and control hardware and software is essential to ensure day-to-day New York State Transmission System reliability and operational security. The Commission will expect the NYISO, all Transmission Owners, all Developers and all other Market Participants to comply with the recommendations offered by the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and, eventually, best practice recommendations from the electric reliability authority. All public utilities will be expected to meet basic standards for system infrastructure and operational security, including physical, operational, and cyber-security practices.
