Program Narrative. The HVAC/R program is based on industry standards and the Florida Department Education Curriculum Frameworks for post‐secondary career preparatory instruction. This program benefits the inmates by providing them with training during their incarceration equipping them with the skills needed to secure meaningful employment with potential for advancement. The State of Florida predicts that the number of openings in this trade between 2014 and 2022 will grow 34.1% assuring ample opportunities for gainful employment and successful re‐integration into our society.
