Program Approval Actions. Regional ITS architectures must be developed and maintained to document the ITS integration strategies and guide the development of specific projects and programs. FHWA will serve as a technical resource during the development and revisions of the regional architectures and will be furnished a copy of the adopted regional architectures and any amendments. It will be up to the owners of the regional architecture to decide whether they want to request FHWA concurrence or acknowledgement of the regional architecture.
