Proficiency Test. A proficiency test, available through CODESP or similar via GUSD, will be scheduled periodically Employees who do not have either an AA Degree or 48 units on file with the District shall be eligible to take the test. Employees achieving at least a 70% overall passing score shall be deemed to have met the legal requirement. If an employee does not achieve the 70% passing score, the employee shall receive information about the specific subject areas which were failed. An employee who fails the test shall be provided with an opportunity to attend a tutorial session during non- working hours. In addition, employees shall be provided with a list of resources for tutorials related to subject matter included on the test. Additional test dates shall be scheduled periodically.
