PRN Nurse. Section 1. In order to enhance the Commonwealth's ability to attract registered nurses who may not be available for full-time or regular part-time employment, the parties have established a separate and distinct classification which is known as "PRN Nurse". When staff level bargaining unit work is assigned from a pool of PRN Nurses on a day to day basis, such nurses shall be, for the period of their employment, bargaining unit employees, and subject to the terms of this Agreement excepting those Articles specified in Section 3 of this Article. It is understood that this classification may be used at all locations throughout the Commonwealth and that no use will be permitted through the reclassification of existing positions.

PRN Nurse. A nurse employed to be scheduled on an intermittent basis 15 as needed. PRN nurses are expected to provide written notice of availability (or 16 unavailability) at least ten (10) days prior to the posting date for each schedule period.

PRN Nurses shall not be scheduled when full or part time Nurses are available to be scheduled without creating an overtime situation. All PRN Nurses will be scheduled after full-time and part-time Nurses, without creating an overtime situation, to cover available shifts prior to contact with any non- hospitalDistrict employee or agency. If a PRN Nurse has not been available for any work as needed or has not met the work requirements for a period of three months, the HospitalDistrict may terminate that Nurse’s employment status with the HospitalDistrict. The only exception would be if the HospitalDistrict does not have this number of shifts available. The minimum work availability requirements below do not include education hours.
PRN Nurse. A Nurse hired for a period of three (3) months or more in a position that has no regular schedule and/or hours but is assigned by a department director if the work schedule cannot be covered by full-time, regular part-time, weekend package, weekend package plus, or part time accruing nurses.

  • School Nurses The salary of a nurse with a graduate nursing degree will be 90% of the XX Xxxx of Schedule A. The salary of a nurse with a BS Nursing Degree will be the same as the XX Xxxx of Schedule A.

  • Nurse Practitioner (Employer Appointed Position) “Nurse Practitioner” means a Registered Nurse appointed as such to a position approved by the employer and who is authorised by the Board under Section 95 of Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW) No 86A. A Nurse Practitioner will have at least three years full-time equivalent experience in an advanced practice role and meets the national competency standards for Nurse Practitioners. A Nurse Practitioner functions autonomously and operates at a level of nursing that uses extended and expanded skills, experience and knowledge assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of nursing care. A.5.1

  • School Psychologists At the time of employment and subject to (b) above, full credit for specialized work as a psychologist in a school program shall be given. Full credit for other clinic experience may be given, subject to approval by the Human Resources Division.

  • Outpatient Dental Anesthesia Services This plan covers anesthesia services received in connection with a dental service when provided in a hospital or freestanding ambulatory surgical center and: • the use of this is medically necessary; and • the setting in which the service is received is determined to be appropriate. This plan also covers facility fees associated with these services.

  • Outpatient If you receive dialysis services in a hospital's outpatient unit or in a dialysis facility, we cover the use of the treatment room, related supplies, solutions, drugs, and the use of the dialysis machine. In Your Home If you receive dialysis services in your home and the services are under the supervision of a hospital or outpatient facility dialysis program, we cover the purchase or rental (whichever is less, but never to exceed our allowance for purchase) of the dialysis machine, related supplies, solutions, drugs, and necessary installation costs. Related Exclusions If you receive dialysis services in your home, this agreement does NOT cover: • installing or modifying of electric power, water and sanitary disposal or charges for these services; • moving expenses for relocating the machine; • installation expenses not necessary to operate the machine; or • training you or members of your family in the operation of the machine. This agreement does NOT cover dialysis services when received in a doctor's office.

  • Interstate Educational Personnel Contracts 1. The designated state official of a party state may make 1 or more contracts on behalf of his state with 1 or more other party states providing for the acceptance of educational personnel. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.
