Premium Pay Duplication and Compounding. There shall be no duplication of overtime or premium payments for the same hours worked under any of the provisions of thisthe Agreement, and to the extent that hours are compensated for at overtime rates under one provision, they shall not be counted as hours worked in determining overtime under the same or any other provision, provided however that if more than one (1) provision is applicable, the higher rate shall not exceed time and one-half (1 ½ ), except preferential pay treatment as specified in Article 9.18apply.

No application of this Article shall be construed or 30 interpreted to provide for compounded compensation of overtime at a rate 31 exceeding time and one-half (1-1/2), except preferential pay treatment as 32 specified in Article 9.18.
