Postdated and Staledated Items. You must not date a check later than the date that you write it. If you do and the item is presented for payment before its date, the Credit Union may return it unpaid or pay the item unless you notify the Credit Union of the postdat- ing. Your notice will be effective only if the Credit Union receives the notice in time for the Credit Union to notify its employees and reasonably act upon the notice and you accurately describe the item, including the number, date, and amount.
