Common use of Postdated and Staledated Items Clause in Contracts

Postdated and Staledated Items. You authorize us to accept and pay any check, even if the check is postdated (presented for payment before its date), or staledated (presented for payment more than six months after its date). You also agree not to deposit checks, drafts, or other items before they are properly payable. The Credit Union is under no obligation to you to pay any check that is presented more than six (6) months after its date. If you don’t want us to pay a postdated or staledated check, you must notify us of the check and place a stop payment order on it. (See the Stop Payment Orders section.)
