Placement during Period of Salary Protection Sample Clauses
The "Placement during Period of Salary Protection" clause defines the rules and procedures for assigning an employee to a new position while they are receiving salary protection benefits. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which an employee may be placed in a different role, such as when their original position is eliminated or restructured, and specifies whether the new placement must be at a comparable level or within a certain department. Its core practical function is to ensure that employees continue to have meaningful work assignments during the salary protection period, while also providing the employer with flexibility to manage workforce changes efficiently.
Placement during Period of Salary Protection. An employee who is in receipt of any form of salary protection will accept placement in a higher level position, up to the level of the job which attracted the salary treatment, which comes available at the employee’s current headquarters provided she/he can reasonably perform the work. Otherwise, the employee’s salary will be reduced to the maximum of the pay grade for the position she/he holds, and the Corporation will not be obliged to place the employee in any other such higher position.
