Common use of Perpetual Licenses Clause in Contracts

Perpetual Licenses. For licenses purchased on a perpetual basis, Maintenance and Support is not included in the purchase. Customer must separately purchase annual Maintenance and Support for all perpetual licenses purchased for an initial minimum (1) year term. Unless otherwise agreed by XxxxxXxxxx in writing, to be entitled to Maintenance and Support, Customer must purchase support for each active license (including for example each Developer License and/or Floating License) purchased on a perpetual license basis when renewing Maintenance and Support. Inactive Developer licenses may not be used by Customer if Maintenance and Support is not purchased for those licenses unless Customer has opted not to purchase Maintenance and Support for all its Developer Licenses.
