Common use of Permanent Disablement Clause in Contracts

Permanent Disablement. We will pay the Person(s) Insured’s upon the Person(s) Insured’s Injury caused solely and directly by Accident resulting in: a) Permanent and total inability to engage in any lawful occupation; or b) Total and permanent loss of sight in one or both eyes; or c) Total loss by physical severance or total and permanent loss of use of one or both limbs. When the Person(s) Insured’s Injury is not specified by the Medical Practitioner. We shall adopt a percentage of disablement in consultation with an independent Medical Practitioner.
