Common use of Perishables Clause in Contracts

Perishables. The contractor shall ensure all perishable material is properly packed, marked and labeled to maintain accountability and identify handling criteria for prudent care in preventing neglect, deterioration and compliance with IATA requirements. When necessary, add wet or dry ice to material and repack once the package has reached its expiration time and date. Perishable shipments will be accepted without liability on the part of the contractor if normal standard of care is exercised.
