Common use of Payment for shiftwork Clause in Contracts

Payment for shiftwork. i) If any part of your shift on a Monday to Friday falls outside the span of hours, Telstra will pay you an additional payment of 15% for the whole shift. ii) If you work on a Saturday, Telstra will pay you an additional payment of 50% for all time worked on that shift between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday. iii) If you work on a Sunday, Telstra will pay you an additional payment of 100% for all time worked on that shift between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday. iv) If you are required to work shifts that fall wholly between the hours of 6.00pm and 8.00am for a period exceeding 4 weeks, Telstra will pay you an additional payment of 30% for all time worked on those shifts. v) Additional payments are not cumulative. Only the highest applicable payment will apply.
