Party Relationship. It is expressly understood that the parties intend and establish only the relationship of independent contractors. No party shall have any authority to create or assume in the name of or on behalf of the other party any obligation, express or implied, to act or to purport to act as the agent or legally empowered representative of the other party for any purpose whatsoever.
