Ownership of Contractor Pre-Existing Materials. Contractor retains ownership of all literary or other works of authorship (such as software programs and code, documentation, reports, and similar works), information, data, intellectual property, techniques, subroutines, algorithms, methods or related rights and derivatives that Contractor owns at the time this contract Contract is executed or otherwise developed or acquired independent of this contract Contract and employed by Contractor in connection with the services Services provided to the Department State (the "Contractor Pre-existing Materials"). Contractor Pre-existing Materials are not Work Product.
