Overtime Shift. Continuous shift work in the Bundaberg Operations will be worked on the basis of a 40 hour week using 4 panels of continuous shift work employees. In order to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it will be necessary for each of the four panels of employees to work 8 hours overtime in each four week cycle. This will occur on a staggered basis throughout the 4 week cycle so that in each week, one panel of employees will work 8 hours overtime.
Overtime Shift. When it becomes necessary for officer(s) to work overtime to fill a shortage of manpower on a shift, and the standby list system referred to above in paragraph (a)(1) has not resolved the particular manpower shortage, the following procedures shall be followed: a. On-duty officers will be notified of the shortage and permitted to attempt to make arrangements to split the shift with another officer(s). b. In the instance that no officer can be located to fill the shift, an officer on the previous shift will be held a maximum of four (4) hours. Commensurately, an officer from the following shift shall not be ordered-in to fill any more than four (4) consecutive hours of overtime immediately prior to his regularly scheduled shift.
Overtime Shift. Workers (a) Overtime for a Shift Worker means any additional hours required to work beyond their roster or in excess of the rostering principles in clause 10.2 for full-time Shift Workers and 10.3 for part-time Shift Workers. (b) Overtime rates are not paid in addition to or cumulative with any other penalty rates, overtime rates, or loadings in this Agreement. (c) A Shift Worker who is required to work overtime will be entitled to the following additional payments:

Overtime Shift. The employer may request the employee to perform overtime that is broken from the employee’s ordinary hours of work. An employees ordinary hours of work per day cannot be broken. Where such a request is made an employee will be paid any applicable overtime rates for time worked.

Overtime Shift. Workers a) A shift worker Employee required to work hours in excess of rostered ordinary hours will be paid for those hours at the rate of time and a half (150%) of the hourly rate for the Employee’s classification in Table 3 of Schedule 2. b) A shift worker Employee required to work on their rostered day off will be paid at the rate of time and a half (150%) of the hourly rate for the Employee’s classification in Table 3 of Schedule 2 and will be paid at least four hours at that rate. c) Employees recalled from annual leave or long service leave shall have their leave returned and overtime applied at the rate of time and a half (150%) of the hourly rate for the Employee’s classification in Table 3 of Schedule 2 for the period the Employee works when the Employee would have otherwise been on leave from which they were recalled. d) In accordance with clause 2.5.2, approval for any overtime commencing after a 12-hour shift will require a Fatigue Risk Assessment to be completed and approved prior to the Employee commencing the overtime. Under no circumstances shall this process be bypassed by an Employee. Overtime payments applicable as part of a shift that exceeds 12 hours will not be payable without prior submission and approval of a Fatigue Risk Assessment. e) A shift worker Employee required to work more than 12 hours from the commencement of the shift shall be paid for the work performed in excess of 12 hours at the rate of time and three- quarters (175%) of the hourly rate for the Employee’s classification in Table 3 of Schedule 2. f) Other than as provided for in clause 2.6.4 h), where a shift worker Employee is rostered on a shift following a break of less than eight hours between shifts, the Employee shall be paid at the rate of time and a half (150%) of the hourly rate for the Employee’s classification in Table 3 of Schedule 2 for the shift following the break until they cease work for more than 10 hours.
Overtime Shift workers i. If on continuous work, 200% of the ordinary hourly rate. ii. If on other than continuous work, 150% of the ordinary hourly rate for the first 2 hours on any one day and 200% of the ordinary hourly rate thereafter. iii. Shiftwork payments for overtime do not apply when the time is worked: • by arrangement between the employees themselves; or • for the purpose of effecting the customary rotation of shifts.
