Common use of Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) Designation Clause in Contracts

Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) Designation. The following remuneration shall be paid to the person(s) chosen to be designated by the employer as Overall Responsible Operator and who has the required designations: $70.00 per week for Water Distribution Class 2 $70.00 per week for Sanitary Collection Class 2 The designated employee(s) shall be required to carry a pager and be on call for all hours outside of the regular work day including weekends, except for vacation and other approved leaves of absence such as sick leave, family leave, etc. Management reserves the right to retain flexibility with regard to this designation such that it can be assigned / reassigned as deemed necessary, including assigning / reassigning to a non-union / management position.
