Common use of Outside Professional Development Clause in Contracts

Outside Professional Development. The District recognizes the widespread 16 availability of professional development opportunities offered by organizations 17 outside of the District and will honor its commitment to support education 18 professionals as life-long learners. Employees may submit a request for in-service 19 credit for professional development completed within the current fiscal year. 20 Professional Development will assess the recency and relevance of outside 21 professional development to assure alignment with District standards before 22 approving or denying requests.
