Common use of Outbound Clause in Contracts

Outbound. Employees working a shift of seven (7) hours or more shall receive a meal period of thirty (30) minutes without pay to be taken as near mid-shift as possible. Employees working a shift of less than seven (7) hours will have an optional meal period of thirty (30) minutes without pay. In addition to the above, employees working a shift of six (6) hours or more shall receive two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes with pay. Employees entitled to two (2) rest periods shall receive one (1) rest period before and one (1) rest period after the meal period. Employees working five (5) hours or less shall receive a paid rest period as near to mid-shift as possible.
