Operations Only. Holiday work shall be scheduled in accordance with Sections 13.06(a) and 13.06(b) on a rotating basis, using the rolling calendar, insofar as practicable and service conditions will permit. a. Between November 1st and November 15th, the Company through its respective supervisors, by department, shall determine which holidays shall be staffed for the following year. Those respective supervisors will consult with all employees as to their choice of holidays to be worked for the coming calendar year. Any employee who fails to choose by November 30th will be construed to have waived his right to choose for that year. This process will continue until no volunteers can be found. The Company may then assign employees in inverse order of seniority who have not worked a holiday in accordance with the rolling calendar. b. Holidays worked by employees shall be posted on a continued basis for the purpose of tracking of employees who last worked a holiday.
Operations Only. Any amount of the 1983/1984 additional District contribution for health and welfare benefits (i.e., $47.00 per month or appropriate pro rata contribution) which a unit member does not use each month may be placed in a tax sheltered annuity if the unit member requests. The unit member may choose a tax sheltered annuity plan from among those plans and companies approved by the District Office. All contributions are contingent upon the rules of the tax sheltered annuity plan that the unit member selects and Internal Revenue Service rules. If the above monthly amount available for contribution to the tax sheltered annuity plan does not meet the minimum dollar amount required by the plan, the unit member’s contributions will be placed in his/her tax sheltered annuity plan at the end of the fiscal year or the unit member may choose to make up the difference each month with a voluntary payroll deduction.

Operations Only. Spareboard employees who are normally assigned to protect work on the day a general holiday is observed and who are relieved from protecting work will be provided the day off with pay in the form of a basic day at their straight time classification rate of pay. Hours apply to the weekly guarantee and to the calculation of weekly overtime.
