Operating Voltage Clause Samples
The OPERATING VOLTAGE clause defines the specific voltage range or level at which equipment or systems must function safely and effectively. In practice, this clause sets clear parameters for acceptable electrical input, ensuring that devices are neither underpowered nor exposed to excessive voltage that could cause damage or malfunction. By establishing these requirements, the clause helps prevent equipment failure, promotes safety, and ensures compatibility with the intended electrical infrastructure.
Operating Voltage a. All equipment including interconnection facilities, and excepting pedestrian push buttons and pressure detectors, shall be designed to operate on 120 volts, 60 Hz AC.
b. Operation shall be satisfactory at voltages from 105 to 130.
c. The voltage for pedestrian push buttons shall not exceed 24 volts AC.
Operating Voltage. The Facility shall operate with the excitation system of the generator in power factor control mode, with a set point 100% or 1.0 per unit, unless instructed otherwise by the Bluewater Power System Operator.
