Common use of Operating Practices Clause in Contracts

Operating Practices. To improve the Employer’s competitiveness and to ensure the optimum use of plant and equipment, flexibility in relation to work area placement will ensure best possible service outcomes for the Employer's customers. 12.1 Employees may be required to move on a temporary basis, to different work areas as required. 12.2 For a temporary move of greater than five days, a notification period of one working day is required. All temporary moves of less than five days do not require notification. 12.3 Where necessary, Employees will be provided with the training required for them to achieve competency for the work area to which they are temporarily moved. 12.4 Employees who are temporarily moved pursuant to this clause will only be required to move to a work area location that is within a reasonable distance from the location of their usual position.
