Common use of Off Shift Bonus Clause in Contracts

Off Shift Bonus. A premium of sixty ($0.60) cents per hour will be paid to all employees who work a shift commencing after 12:00 noon or before 9:00 p.m. A premium of seventy ($0.70) cents per hour will be paid to all employees who work a shift commencing after 9:00 p.m. or before 5:00 a.m.

These premiums will also apply on a full overtime shift which calls for such a premium to be paid but they will not be added to the basic rate in computing the overtime rate.
