Common use of Number Resources Arrangements Clause in Contracts

Number Resources Arrangements. 10.1.1. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed in any manner to limit or otherwise adversely impact either Party’s right to the request and assignment of any NANP number resources including, but not limited to, central office (NXX) codes pursuant to the Central Office Code Assignment Guidelines published by the Industry Numbering Committee ("INC") as INC ▇▇-▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇, formerly ICCF 93-0729-010). The latest version of the Guidelines will be considered the current standard. 10.1.2. Each Party shall be responsible for notifying its End Users of any changes in numbering or dialing arrangements to include changes such as the introduction of new NPAs or new NXX codes. 10.1.3. Paging Provider may request blocks of telephone numbers from Qwest. Such blocks of telephone numbers will be assigned to the Paging Provider from an NXX housed in the Qwest Dial Tone Office. This will usually be the Serving Wire Center of the Paging Provider’s paging terminal location. In the event sufficient numbers are not available to meet the Paging Provider’s two year forecast, a new NXX, if practicable, will be assigned to the Dial Tone Office from which numbers will be allocated. All numbers are assigned and administered by Qwest. The Paging Provider performs subadministration (assigning specific numbers to individual subscribers). 10.1.4. It shall be the responsibility of each Party to program and update its own network systems pursuant to the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) to recognize and route traffic to the other Party’s assigned NXX codes. Each Party party shall use the LERG published by Telcordia TelcordiaBellcore or its successor for obtaining routing information and shall provide through an authorized LERG input agent, all required information regarding its network to TelcordiaBellcore for maintaining the LERG in a timely manner. Both Parties will make all reasonable efforts to conserve numbers.

The Parties will comply with code administration requirements as prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission, the Commission, and accepted industry guidelines. e. It shall be the responsibility of each Party to program and update its own switches and network systems pursuant to the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) guidelines to recognize and route traffic to the other Party’s 's assigned NXX codescodes at all times. Neither Party shall impose any fees or charges whatsoever on the other Party for such activities. The Parties will cooperate to establish procedures to ensure the timely activation of NXX assignments in their respective networks. 10.1.5. f. Each Party shall be responsible for notifying its customers of any changes in numbering or dialing arrangements to include changes such as the introduction of new NPAs or new NXX codes. g. XI. CALL COMPLETION FROM USWC OPERATORS USWC Operators will provide operator call completion and call completion and rating information and like assistance to any end user customer reaching USWC Operators (including information for calls to Pac-West' NXXs) in the same manner as they provide such services for end user customers served by USWC NXXs and for calls involving only USWC NXXs.
