Each regular, full-time employee shall notify on-duty shift commander at least two (2) hours prior to the start of such employee's work shift that he/she is not able to work that day. Any deviation from the two (2) hour notification shall require justification by the employee to his/her supervisor. Should an employee become ill on the job, such employee shall only be assessed sick/health leave for the actual time missed, recorded to the nearest one-half (½) hour.
