Notice of Accident. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Engineer immediately after the happening of any accident with the name(s) of the person(s) having received injuries thereby, the nature and character of any property damage that has been caused either as a result of the neglect of the Contractor or otherwise in the carrying on of the Works, and upon receiving such notice, the Engineer shall make a careful investigation and estimate of the damage sustained and certify the estimate of the amount thereof to the City.
