Common use of Notice and Information Clause in Contracts

Notice and Information. Before the Company finally decides to contract out an item of work as to which it claims the right to contract out, the Union committee members will be notified. Except as provided in Paragraph J of this Section (Shelf Item Procedure), such notice will be given in sufficient time to permit the Union to invoke the expedited procedure described in Paragraph H of this Section, unless emergency situations prevent it. Such notice shall be in writing and shall be sufficient to advise the Union members of the committee of the location, type, scope, duration, and timetable of the work to be performed so that the Union members of the committee can adequately form an opinion as to the reasons for such contracting out.
