Common use of Non-Medicare Certified Nursing Facilities Clause in Contracts

Non-Medicare Certified Nursing Facilities. ‌ Enrollees may be admitted for Medicaid-covered services to nursing facilities that do not participate in or accept assignment from Medicare. The STATE will audit such facilities and, if an admission would otherwise have been a Medicare-qualifying stay, the STATE will notify the MCO by e-mail. The MCO will assure that no payment is made to the facility for the first twenty (20) days of such an admission. [Minnesota Statutes, §256R.05, subd. 2]
