Common use of No Expectation of Privacy Clause in Contracts

No Expectation of Privacy. Users of the Lago Vista ISD network are reminded that the network is the property of Lago Vista ISD and that they shall have no expectation of privacy. Internet sites visited and files on machines connected to the network may be inspected at any time. Contents of email, information regarding your Internet usage, and network communications may be reviewed at the sole discretion of Lago Vista ISD. Inappropriate and/or unlicensed files/programs will be deleted and disciplinary action taken, as necessary. Users are also reminded that email sent via the network is not privileged or private and may be reviewed by Lago Vista ISD. Electronic information erased, deleted, or otherwise removed may always be retrieved by network administrators. Passwords or other system security features do not guarantee confidentiality. Use of the Internet and other technology resources is a privilege, not a right. Inappropriate use will result in withholding of that privilege and other disciplinary action, as appropriate.
