Mutually Acceptable Arbitrator. Within five (5) school days after the date of a written request for arbitration, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Labor Relations and the Association shall make every reasonable effort to agree upon a mutually acceptable arbitrator. If the parties are unable to agree upon an arbitrator within the five (5) day period herein provided, either the Board or the Association may, within ten (10) school days after the date of the written request for arbitration, request the American Arbitration Association to submit a list of qualified arbitrators. The arbitrator shall then be selected according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
