MLC Kindle Clause Samples
The 'MLC Kindle' clause establishes the terms and conditions under which the Kindle version of a work is licensed or distributed by the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC). Typically, this clause outlines the rights granted for digital distribution, any royalties or fees associated with Kindle sales, and the responsibilities of both the rights holder and the distributor. For example, it may specify how royalties are calculated for Kindle downloads or set requirements for reporting sales data. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the digital distribution of works via Kindle is clearly governed, protecting the interests of both creators and distributors while ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
