Mission Criticality. Government and Contractor functions at the CDTF work hand-in-hand to ensure a zero defect environment in a mission area (Chemical Surety) that requires zero defects. Maintenance tasks range from the ordinary and routine to key and critical. Key and critical tasks integral to preservation of Essential Services shall be performed without failure in order to maintain compliance with all Department of Defense guidelines for the operation of Chemical Surety sites. The CDTF, as the only facility of its kind within the Department of Defense, often attracts high-level military and national-level elected and appointed civilian leaders. Accordingly, the contractor shall maintain the facility to the specifications outlined in this PWS in order to maintain the dignity and prominence that this facility enjoys as a strategic training resource for the United States and its allies.
