MENTAL ILLNESS. A person has been assessed by a qualified professional and been diagnosed under DSM-IV or later editions with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major affective disorder, delusional disorder or a borderline personality disorder and this psychiatric disorder must be of sufficient severity to cause a disturbance in role performance or coping skills in at least two of these areas on either a continuous or an intermittent (at least once per year) basis: vocational/academic, financial, social/interpersonal, family, basic living skills, housing, community, or health.
