Membership Deductions. Within ten (10) days of their commencement of employment, certificated employees may sign and deliver to the Board an Assignment of Wages form, which will authorize deduction of membership dues and assessments of the Association (including the National Education Association and the Washington Education Association). These forms are available from the EEA President. Such authorization will continue in effect from year to year, unless a thirty (30) day revocation is submitted to the Board and the Association, signed by the employee.

Each month during the school year the Association agrees to provide the Board with the names of those teachers who have joined the Association and paid its dues and fees by means other than through payroll deduction.

All Membership “drop” requests must be processed through the WEA office before payroll may cease deduction of dues.
