Common use of Medical Retirement Clause in Contracts

Medical Retirement. After ten (10) years of service, a unit member who leaves the District for a medically based reason may purchase health, dental and vision insurance at the retiree rate to age sixty-five (65). The intent of this provision is to enable said unit member to opt for such insurance at no cost to the District.
