Common use of Medical and Other Records Clause in Contracts

Medical and Other Records. All medical records and other records that contain patient health information shall be and remain the property of VIGILINT and shall be treated confidential pursuant to applicable federal laws and the laws of the State of North Carolina, including without limitation, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act and their implementing regulations (collectively referred to herein as “HIPAA”).
